I make a beeline for Bryant Park whenever I come near Manhattan. It just keeps getting better!. Love it rain (moody and quiet) and shine (the ultimate people-watching place). A great example of historic preservation (a former potter’s field) and pedestrian-friendly development, a perfect partner to the New York Public Library, which shares its 4-block site. Dozens of games going on constantly, from chess to petanque. Its own outdoor reading room with free magazines, newspapers and books (my preference to NYPL’s Rose Reading Room). Jugglers and a grand piano. Sun-bathers. And everywhere the green bistro chairs, creating a little spot of Paris on 42nd Street. Love those chairs!
Did I tell you I love those chairs?
